Job Description

Position Title: SPL Controller (SPL - Supply Production & Logistics)
Status: Regular
Reports To: Finance Director Controlling, functionally to Group / BU Controlling

Position Summary

• Preparation and analysis of SPL Budget/Forecast
• Collates, analyses and reports upon the key performance indicators (KPI) for the SPL activity as per the Group’s requirements; and
• Provides analytical support to the SPL management in the day-to-day operational as well as strategic decision making.

Main Responsibilities

Timely and accurate reporting of KPI data for the SPL functions. This will encompass: -
• Reporting to stakeholders within BIN as well as outside BIN on pre-determined frequencies.
• Providing timely and satisfactory responses to queries received on such reported data.
• Reporting on any ad-hoc requests received pertaining to SPL functions.

Provide analytical support to the SPL management for operational as well as strategic decision making. This will include activities as follows (but not restricted to): -
• Analysis of Production variances, SPL costs, KPI etc to identify areas of further improvement.
• Make or Buy decisions for critical materials.
• Analysis of inventory balance and movements to keep a tab on inventory obsolescence.
• Analysis of vendor and sub-contractors’ performance to identify deviations from contracts/SLA.
Critical Skills and Personal Attributes

Functional skills:
• Prior work experience as a Controller/Management Accountant in a manufacturing set-up.
• Experience in the deployment/maintenance of cost accounting methodologies & systems.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and standards.
• Good understanding of the following business processes:
• Procure to Pay,
• Plan to Produce,
• Record to Report, and
• Inventory Management.
• Knowledge of SAP (primarily CO, MM-IM, PP modules)
• Knowledge of Analytic tools like SAP BI-BW / Tableau
• Advanced knowledge of analytical tools from the MS Office, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Personal skills:
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Proactive and independent self-starter
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:
• University degree in economics / finance / accounting / commerce / management.
• Qualified Cost Accountant (ICWA) / Management Accountant (CIMA) / Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
• Minimum work experience: 5-7 years.
