Job Title: Deputy Finance Head

We are looking for a detail-oriented and compliance-driven Deputy Finance Head for us franchisee-driven logistics company with a nationwide presence. The role will focus on strengthening accounting processes, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and regular audits across both head office and regional operations. The Deputy Finance Head will also oversee regional finance teams to ensure consistency in franchisee-level accounting, GST compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy across head office and regional teams.
• Ensure efficient Accounts payable processes
• Ensure timely preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Standardize reporting formats and ensure real-time MIS for management and stakeholders.
• Monitor franchisee-level financial reporting and ensure adherence to defined processes.
• Design and ensure efficient Payment processes, bank reconciliation and cash management
Audit & Compliance
• Drive statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits with complete accuracy and timely closures.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors and address audit queries effectively.
• Implement strong internal controls to safeguard revenue and prevent financial leakages.
GST & Taxation
• Ensure accurate filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns for all business locations.
• Handle reconciliations, GST input credits, and compliance of all indirect tax regulations.
• Support finalization of income tax, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.
• Regional Finance Oversight.
• Supervise regional finance teams to secure uniform accounting standards across zones. Process Improvement
• Implement financial control systems and process automation to increase transparency.
• Recommend improvements in reporting accuracy and turnaround time.
• Enforce compliance-driven discipline across both corporate and franchisee operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Chartered Accountant qualified.
• Experience: 10-12 years in core finance roles, with strong exposure to accounting, audit, GST, and compliance in logistics, supply chain, FMCG, or multi-location businesses.
• Experience working with regional finance structures and services companies
• Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and automation tools.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage central and regional teams.
• High integrity, detail-oriented, and strong knowledge of statutory frameworks.

• Financial Closing Timeliness: % of monthly/quarterly closings completed within defined timelines (e.g., within 5 working days).
• Accuracy of Financial Statements: Number of errors or adjustments required post- closing.
