Job Title: PAFA COE Analyst/Accountant
Organization/Division: Global Financial Accounting CoE
Location: Pune, India

Job Summary:
Provide a short overview of the role. What is the primary function of this role?
"Role is part of the Global Financial Accounting CoE in the Record to Report Function with responsibility in the Project Accounting Fixed Asset CoE.

Responsible for performing and supporting end-to-end accounting activities, including monthly closing, reconciliations, compliance, and process improvements. Provides business partnership, functional expertise, and supports audits and financial reporting for assigned regions or entities. Drives continuous improvement and ensures adherence to internal controls and statutory requirements."

Job Responsibilities:

1) Accounting Operations
Manage project accounting, fixed asset, general ledger, intercompany, hedging, netting and lease transactions.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and/or review account reconciliations and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with USGAAP, IFRS, Eaton policies and local statutory requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean working environment in compliance with Eaton safety standards and Eaton Code of Ethics.
Support transitions and migrations.

2) Process Improvement & Standardization:
Identify automation opportunities, process improvements, and standardization using quality tools (e.g., BPI, EBE).
Drive lean culture and process improvements using EBS tools (Six Sigma, BPIs, RPA, digital tools).
Document standard operating procedures and support standardization.
Support department activities related to process improvements and standard work.
Identify and implement best practices.

3) Collaboration & Service Delivery
Partner with managers, controllers, and cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives.
Monitor customer-facing KPIs to ensure service delivery meets agreed standards.
Support team members, train new employees, and share knowledge.

4) Compliance & Internal Controls
Maintain internal controls, including SOX compliance and statutory requirements.
Safeguard assets and ensure adherence to all corporate and financial policies and procedures.
Support internal and external audits.

5) Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership
Provide business partnership and support to controllership and other stakeholders.
Act as a liaison for updates and communication between teams and management.

6) Building Organizational Capability

Qualifications:

Education level required:
Professional or master's degree in finance or accounting.

Years and area of experience required:
5-7 years (or more) of relevant accounting experience
Experience in multinational manufacturing or shared service environments preferred.

Technical knowledge:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
Expertise in Oracle or SAP
Knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools and electronic accounting systems.
Understanding of statutory reporting requirements and tax regulations (local and international).

Soft skills:
High Proficiency in English; regional language
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Dealing with ambiguity to manage dynamic business needs.
Adaptable to varying cultures and able to work under pressure.
Ability to critically think- frames problems, analyzes options, and recommend data‑backed actions.
