Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Business Finance Manager to join our rapidly growing Series A-funded SaaS startup. This role is essential in driving financial performance, overseeing accounting functions, and supporting our ambitious growth trajectory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing key financial insights, while ensuring financial processes and reporting are optimized. Your contributions will directly impact critical business decisions and support our mission to deliver innovative solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Partnering
o Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to provide financial insights that support business strategies, enhance growth, and optimize profitability.
Financial Planning & Analysis
o Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and providing scenario analyses for strategic decision-making.
Accounting Oversight & Compliance
o Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure timely and accurate closing of books on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Customer Agreements & Legal Oversight
o Work closely with the Sales team to review customer agreements, ensuring that financial and legal terms are aligned with company objectives. Oversee legal aspects related to contracts and financial commitments.
Cost Management & Efficiency
o Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies. Lead initiatives that drive sustainable cost reductions and optimize spending.
Business MIS & Financial Presentations
o Prepare monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) reports and financial presentations, effectively communicating business performance, financial health, and growth strategies to stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement
o Continuously improve financial processes, accounting systems, and reporting tools to drive accuracy and scalability, ensuring alignment with company growth and industry best practices.
Training & Financial Education
o Educate non-financial stakeholders across departments on financial principles, budgeting, and key performance metrics, fostering a culture of financial awareness.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Finance/related field or CA (MBA preferred).
4-7 years of experience in Business finance, with a strong focus on business partnering, preferably in a startup or SaaS environment.
Proven track record of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, financial software).
Experience with fundraising, audits or working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus.
