Position Title
General Manager – Finance & Accounting (Group)
Reporting To: Managing Director
(Functional coordination with Business Heads – PMC, Real Estate, Group Services)
Role Purpose
To own, standardize, and strengthen group-wide finance, accounting, compliance, and financial governance across Planedge’s operating companies, with special focus on project-based accounting, cash flow discipline, statutory compliance, and real estate financial structuring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Group Finance & Accounting Leadership
Lead end-to-end finance and accounts for all group companies (PMC, real estate SPVs, support entities).
Ensure uniform accounting policies, chart of accounts, and MIS formats across the group.
Supervise accounting teams; define roles, controls, and escalation mechanisms.
Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closure discipline.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Control
Prepare annual budgets, project budgets, and rolling forecasts for:
PMC operations
Real estate projects (land cost, construction cost, sales, cash flow)
Monitor budget vs actuals, cost overruns, and margin deviations.
Implement cost control systems for:
Project overheads
Corporate overheads
Site expenses
3. Project & Real Estate Finance
Establish project-wise accounting for PMC and real estate developments.
Track:
WIP, unbilled revenue, milestone billing
Construction cost capitalization
Inventory, land cost, development rights
Manage real estate cash flows, escrow accounts, and RERA- linked reporting.
Support feasibility studies, IRR calculations, and project viability analysis.
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Own group cash flow planning and liquidity management.
Ensure timely:
Client billing and collections
Vendor and contractor payments
Optimize working capital cycles.
Manage banking relationships:
OD/CC limits
Project loans
BGs, LCs, performance guarantees
5. Statutory Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with:
Income Tax, GST, TDS
Companies Act
RERA (for real estate wing)
Coordinate audits:
Statutory audit
Tax audit
Internal audit
Manage assessments, notices, and litigation support.
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards.
6. MIS, Reporting & Decision Support
Develop management dashboards for leadership:
Project profitability
Cash position
Receivables & payables ageing
Cost trends
Present actionable insights, not just numbers.
Support leadership in:
Tender pricing inputs
Contract risk assessment
Investment decisions
7. Systems & Process Improvement
Strengthen ERP / accounting systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Standardise:
Approval matrices
Delegation of authority
Financial SOPs
Reduce dependency on individuals; build process-led finance function.
8. Team Building & Capability Development
Mentor finance managers and accounts leads.
Improve commercial understanding of finance team for project environments.
Act as a finance steward, not just a controller.

Final authority on:
Group accounts & financial reporting
Statutory compliance sign-offs
Budget controls
Advisory authority on:
Project financial structuring
Risk and investment decisions
Qualification
CA (mandatory)
MBA Finance (preferred)
Experience
8–15+ years overall experience
Strong exposure to:
Project-based organizations (construction / PMC / infrastructure)
Real estate finance and accounting
Experience handling multiple legal entities.
